  • I love Sundays

Last rays of the sun are disappearing behind the apple tree and the moggy has come in licking his lips to settle for the evening ......some gorgeous music is floating on the air and I have just had the most yummy home-concocted yoghurt, strawberries, rasberries and honey!!!!!!!!!!MMMMMM

Church was good and my young girls enjoyed the surprise of a rose corsage each from my garden - to illustrate some point in our lesson. Enjoyed conducting the music and listening to the thoughts of the speakers......
Found an old 1977 diary in the garage yesterday and as I sat and leafed through the dusty pages today, I was sort of time-machined back to those early days of my love story with Eric - I couldn't remember half the names that tripped across the pages but it brought back so many forgotten moments as we wove our majic together.

My now successful financier son of 42, was a lad then and had been about 10 when Eric came on the scene. It was the year he went to a posh boarding school - and though it was only for a year in the end - it opened his eyes to how the other half lived and probably did much to motivate his current success. So many 'ordinary' moments were captured in print -how precious is 'ordinary'!

Well Eric got a post in Saudi and we had big celebrations and painful partings but he resigned when it turned out later that I wouldn't be able to join him - how we hated being apart - spent most of our new fortune on phone calls!! But eventually after a few months we were back together again.

It was a Movie romance and we made a great pair for 30 years - cant imagine there ever being anyone else for me - but cuddles I miss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello young lovers and all that - mmm I have been totally adored! Ah well - on with my here and now world - now what WAS it I had planned to do this evening.................................

  • what did you do today to make you feel proud......la la la

Well Moto the Moggy jumped on my bed and let me know that Saturday had arrived! It was sunny and the guy was coming at some time to check my gas appliances - so I thought I'd get out and have a go at the amazing world of Marion's garage - that way I'd be in the sun a bit AND do something useful!

Gas man couldnt make it - finished the garage chucking out another load of stuff from my past life!! And my two biker sons junk too! Very satisfying! Only two ton left now!!

Felt good making a special gift for D - - had to rush off to be in time for the meeting with her. Did the changeover and gave her the gift - she seemed very pleased: made my exit and went off to Romsey for the carnival mmmm shame about that - two bands (which were fab) one Carnival queen in horse-drawn carriage, two floats and a fire engine! Ah well - shame these lovely old English things are fading out!! I was just soaking up the atmosphere and then it was gone!!!!!!!

Home through the drizzle - Moto waiting for me under next door's car..settled down by the fire - JULY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Watched Hyde - mm more junk....

Listened to a person in need for a while, now Im going to prepare my lesson for my class to morrow and then off to Fairyland......now where's that chocky.

  • another day on planet earth

Thanks to Isadora I am blogging again- woke to a lovely sunny morning and thanked God for all my blessings:  feel so eager to get on with life now that Im free to do what I like - within the limits of money and time......easy to stay busy but not so easy to know just what to spend it on - like having a rather fat cheque (no not an open one - I have 15 -16  years at the most - ) Is it enough just to be happy, doing the garden, visiting the kids now and then, and being involved with my church, music and counselling scenes?

Feels a bit like when we used to drive off on  Saturday morning - glad to be free but not really knowing where I wanted to go, and ending up rather glad to get home - maybe it IS all here - sure is a beautiful little corner of the world.
Ah well - the garden looks great now - Moto cat helped of course - he's nuts - getting in the rubbish bags and jumping in the big flower planters - re digging my carefully planted cuttings!!!!!!!
Back to black -----------great sound - people are so wonderful arent they - engineering, techno, art, science, surgery, horticulture, space travel - on and on - if only we all lived in love  and peace - that's paradise!
Get on with the chores M - oh ok I'll just finish this codeword and tidy up this half eaten choc bar!....................

Well I have a blog - dont ask me what that is - Ive only stumbled into it and heard the word bantered around by 'kids' a quarter of my age! Wow - what an amazing generation - well - heres a very young at heart Great Grandma saying Hi world - I want to be part of the happening! I always knew there HAD to be something better than the brain boring stuff on TV. My young son of 29 just let me know he has 3 x 1sts and a 2:1 for his Animation Coursework! Congrats Dave!! I always knew the Force WAS with YOU!!!

So what's my message to the world out there?

You are fabulous world - sorry man has done so much damage - but he's also done some pretty fabulous things too (for man read man AND woman!)

We surely ARE only limited by our capacity to imagine!!!

God seeds are in each of us - there is nothing more wonderful than this world with the dross taken out - and nothing more hellish than this world with the worst things that 'man' can devise.

There - that's my philosophical bit for today - thank you God for this day in my life - I am so sorry for the people up country who have lost homes and livlihoods -

THANK YOU HELPERS EVERYWHERE!!!! - THANK YOU - THANK YOU - Marion
